WE ARE BEST FOR A CLIENT IN THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES:
(a) We do not surcharge smokers as other insurers do.
(b) We do not surcharge an individual for failing to have a medical check-up in the last two years as other insurers do.
(c) We do not restrict an individual taking Lasix or Furosemide.
(d) We do not cap the number of medications overall but we try to restrict medications of 7 or more for major conditions such as heart and stroke with diabetes.
(e) We do not restrict an individual for a change in high blood pressure
("HBP") medication in the last three months unless he also has a history of two other major conditions [a heart condition, a stroke condition, a gastrointestinal condition, a respiratory condition or diabetes].
(f) We will consider applications for manual underwriting if necessary
